I was given this tool, neither I or the person that gave it to me know what it is, can anyone identify it please?

I suspect due to it's weight and shape it is some sort of pin or tack hammer, but not really sure.

It will be getting a bath in the electrolysis unit and a new handle if it is worth keeping.

TIA, Eddie.

Sorry, forgot the image:

Good to know, I found one in a box of bits and pieces in a garage clear out, I saved it in my odds draw thinking it was some sort of tack hammer!

Thanks, so now I know. Can't see much use for it today then :(

If it's for sealing stitching on leather - I may be able to give it a home, IF you were considering discarding or otherwise moving it on..... I've dabbled with leather working in the past, (made my own quiver and bracer many years ago), but I've a hankering to make my own chisel roll... I know they can be bought, but I have quite a lot of offcuts, plus 2 pairs of 90's leather trousers that don't fit anymore, so something to make all the twine stitching more water resistant can only be a boon.

Just thought I'd mention it.

In one of the boxes of stuff I have sorted through for my boot sale next week there is one just like that, thanks now I know what it is, but it's still going though.

Send me a PM with your name and address and I'll bung it in the post to you.
