Can't see that fitting into a 6 x 10 shed somehow. Think of the telegraph poles I could turn if it did. Wonder how much it went for

I saw things like that in use at the Shanghai Pump Works in 1987/8.
All their large workshops had the machines on dirt floors, including the biggest drop forging hammer I've ever seen! :shock:
They also had this monster thing that when I saw it and murmured WTF?, they said "that's our 150 inch diameter vertical lathe - we use it to turn the bowls of our large land drainage pumps". :shock:
Trouble is, if you had one where would you get the wood? I don't suppose the Californian Forestry people would appreciate you turning up with a monster chain saw!
