Almost everything I make will be from reclaimed timber. A few years ago a couple of buildings were being repaired and refurbished. Some of the Oak timbers which could not be re-used came to me complete with ironwork embedded. These nails and hand-chased bolts would have been hand-made in and around Stourbridge and Kinver. There's a pot of nails/tacks from the Quaker house and the rest are from a building that was originally built around 1520's and was then refurbed around the 1730's so I'm presuming that the majority of the other fixings will possibly be from the refurbishment.
They have all been locked away in a cupboard and I keep moving them about thinking I will either come up with an idea to use them or find someone who will have a use for them. Does anyone have any ideas or even want them enough to pay the postage for them?
