Just read THIS thread on woodnet. Nothing but praise for Philly Planes  Ummm I'll have to seriously think about ordering one or two before he gets as famous as that Krenov bloke.

Just to pretty the place up a bit:

Lovely plane Phil and I like the stamp. Also interested how/or where you got it.

Gents
Bought a set of three stamps from a guy in the States. Not cheap, and they were pretty unusable when I got them, and after serious grinding can really only use one of the three. The largest is impossible to use - feel a bit ripped off, especially as he knew I was going to use it on hardwood endgrain.

So, have been given some leads of makers in the UK. When I have a good supplier I will share the details!
Cheers
Philly :D

P.s. Spoke with Larry Williams in the US - he filed out all of the stamps they use by hand. He's a better man than me!

Hi Philly, am new to these forums so lovely to see a toolmaker here.

Those shoulder planes and the African Blackwood are gorgeous!

Very good work indeed.

Nice stuff Philly...are you going to have the same sort of set up at Yandles in April? ( which means can we still have a play with the toys on your bench  ?) - Rob

Many thanks, Gents!

Yandles - yes, I'll be therre with plenty of planes for you to play with. Also should have some stock for people to buy if interested - with a discount!

Thanks again,
Philly :D
