I just thought it might be worth posting a reminder in case anyone's forgotten - the rather fine Festival of the Tree will be happening again next weekend, Friday through to Monday.

but for most of us I expect the main draw will be the masterclasses put on by Classic Hand Tools, which include someone called Phil Edwards talking about Wooden Planes!

You'll need to be there on Friday for that, which is also the best time to get there for the widest selection of interesting timber and second-hand tools, if previous years are anything to go by.
CHT also seem to be offering "special deals" - which could save you the £10 admission charge.
