Had another great day out again yesterday at Westonbirt.Weather was good,thankfully :D
Met up with Chas (CHJ) and Di and had a nice leisurely walk round.Managed to meet several other forum members along the way :D
First stop was the toilets :roll: and then the CHT marquee where we had a good chat to Claud (La Truciolara) nice to have met you Claud :D and Mark Hancock.

Had another go with the Munro deep hollower,think i'm just about getting used to it now.
Though i think Mark might think otherwise :lol: :lol:


Strolled down to have a look at Phillys planes where we met Philly and Mike Riley,and yes the planes are as everyone says,really good and well made.

Didn't buy much just some small off cuts of wood out the bin and some small clock/watch faces for yet more future projects :roll:
 
Nice photos Paul, hope to be there next year if all goes well. Nice to see what is going on though.
 
Hi Paul,

Nice photos. The second to last (monkey puzzle amongst other things) is the work of Frans Brown. His work is quite amazing. This is the first year he's had his own stand (he's normally in the Gloucestershire Woodturners tent).

I really enjoyed the day. I met most of those in the photos (plus a few others). I also got a fair bit of inspiration. I just missed not having the family there (it's such a great location).

I saved my pennies for another show. Maybe the New Midlands Woodworking Show.

I couldn't make it this year (and am regretting it I think), some damn nice stuff there!

and where are people getting Monkey Puzzle from! That's the third piece I've seen in as many weeks!
