They hadn't invented 'radio control' when I got my Meccano sets, which incidentally I've still got

First ever Christmass with no tool pressies

Well there always has to be a first

And I bl**dy well hope it was the last

Despite all the not so subtle hints, my woodworking tool this year was a jumper!!!! I do not know where I went wrong

Neither did I. But I did get two bottles of wine with which to drown my sorrows. :(

Pocket hole jig, very similar to the Kreg rocket :D .Makes me wonder where my ex-wife gets these ideas (or what she wants me to make/fix next.. )

Santa brought me 'The new complete guide to the Bandsaw' by Mark Dusginske. Looks pretty comprehensive but mainly based on the Delta 14" 2 wheel machine with some references to European design differences.
Lots of general stuff on blades, guides etc and buying guides (tips) for secondhand machines. Also sections on jigs and extra widgets to make for the saw.
The author is credited with invention of the ubiquitous 'cool blocks' and the Kreg fence.

I'm a happy bunny

Hi Roy, don,t forget the pics of the router table, after the 2 bottles of wine of course.
Regards Rich.

Hi Rich! Took the first Pic about an hour ago which simply shows the bench top cut for the plate and the grooves for the fence fitting. I'm now working on the shield that I use to keep the dust out of the router, as I progress I'll take further pics.
I've only now been able to really get stuck in as I only finished the wiring yesterday afternoon!
Next step is to find out how to get the images from the camera onto the computer.
Pray for me!

Roy.

Hi Roy, How come you are allowed in the workshop? I'm only part way through a 48 hour ban having to be nice to relatives and only sneaking off to the computer now and then!
Help!

Bob

Well it's like this Bob. By the time we had opened the presents, watched my grandson play with the wrapping paper, had lunch, the wife got fed up with my nervous twitches and other withdrawal symptons and suggested I go out to the workshop for a while!

Roy.

Cheers Roy, So there is hope. Maybe I'll try those tactics tomorrow and try getting let off in retun for good behaviour today :)

Bob

It also helps to have a job for the wife that needs finishing.

Roy.
