There is a well known theory in advanced physics that explains this.Workshop quantum displacement theory.

In order to locate any particular tool at a particular time, you need to obtain another instance of the same tool, at which point quantum mirroring means the tool will exist in *every* closed drawer in your workshop, until you collapse the quantum flux by opening one of the drawers.

This is why you always find the tool you were looking for, immediately after buying a new one.

It’s a bit like my wife always being astounded that she finds something in the last place she looks. I’ve tried to explain…

I just picked up a 4 1/2 among some other bits and pieces, never really got into the whole hand tool thing but I can see it being a slippery slope

In all honesty, I must admit, it’s is starting to become an obsession so I’m getting there slowly
