RNLI is fine by me too

That is 6 of us. Thanks for taking the time to leave your vote guy's. I think that we should wait for at least half (15) of the 29 members who donated to the fund to let us have their vote.

Cheers

Sorry mate we have not got enough to buy another mallet, but you are welcome to this one (hammer)

Now any other takers for the RNLI or a charity of your own?

Cheers

Mike

Missed this thread somehow! Glad you like the mallet Waka.

RNLI is ok by me.

Mike, I'd no idea you were up in Fraserburgh - my Dad grew up there as a kid and my Mum lived along the coast in Gardenstown so I have many relatives up your way! They moved down south to Manchester for Dad's job before I was born.

Hi Jennifer,

What a small world :D I'm from London originally and I just wanted to get away from the rat race (the large workshop never had anything to do with it)

Gardenstown is not to far from me, and I pass by it on my way down to Scottish Hardwoods in Gamrie.

Cheers

:) I've walked and driven past there many a time - my Granny still lives in Gamrie along with an Aunt and Uncle and a cousin. I have an Aunt and cousin living in Fraserborough so I've been there a few times.

Dad liked to go and look in the 'timber yard' when we went for walks. Went there twice a year when I was younger but I've not been back for a while.

Jennifer,

It's a lovely bit of coast though it's a long way from Manchester :(

Does your Dad dabble with wood?

It certainly is a lovely coast line, and although it can get a bit nippy, it's well worth putting up with it to live in a beautiful area :D

Well, he built himself a wood turning lathe a long time ago but then it got lost in his garage and he doesn't use it. He loves wood but he tends to spend more time dabbling with motors and bits of machinery :)
