Help please!

I want to set up a couple of cheap websites which will advertise 2 woodwork related businesses. What site/software would you use or reccomend? I would like it to be as cheap as possible but will pay if the quality is much better.
Thanks

I use squarespace http://www.squarespace.com which is an online site building service. I can't recommend it highly enough. It costs me about £10 a month, and is well worth it. It's very powerful and easy to csutomise, the interface and customer service are superb.

Cheers

Marcus

I use Evrsoft First Page 2006 which is free and has a WYSIWYG design screen which can be handy if you are new to coding (like me!)

And host it here Bargainhost

The most-featured, flexible and powerful free HTML software I've found is HTML-Kit, by Chami Software. It can handle every type of site and has any number of add-ons and plug-ins if you need them.

You can download it here.

I have tried loads but I must say that Marcus's recommendation of Squarespace looks like the dog's for anyone that just wants a nice site without the hassle, although I have no personal experience of it.

You don't say what PC you are using but there will be a difference in the tools available between Windows, Mac and Linux if you go the DIY route.

Thanks for all the replies.
The more i look into it the more daunted i am! I have had the offer of help though which sounds promising. :D
