Presuming the gmail account is checked to see if anyone's fallen for it, perhaps a few of us should anonymously email-bomb it, using different subject matters, and asking dumb questions like is it the orange one or the red variety, does it feature the quick-release sprocket, etc.

If they think there's a chance of stitching someone up, they might waste a few hours trying to reply!

Why so?
It wouldn't involve this site/the mods one iota.
Send hundreds, perhaps thousands, of emails from any number of anonymous addresses, with a changing subject matter....anything from a car to a CD to a piece of machinery. This probably isn't the only site that's being targeted, so any item would do. All they "need" is one punter to fall for their scamming technique, so they'd likely spend time replying to "you" stating "Yes! It's exactly the colour/style/size/edition you're wanting!" and detailing some price/payment process....little suspecting that their reply simply disappears into the ether...
