Pete Shame I was not quick enough on the keys to let you know first. I now am not in need of a depth stop :)
Thank you very much for your kind offer to make one for me.

Your generous offer of help most appreciated this is a very good example of what forums should be about.

Hi, TonyW

No problem, thanks for letting me know.

Pete,

You could have a nice side income making depth stops for 043's. I know that mine could use some newer ones.

On that subject...

Does anyone have spare blades for the aforementioned Record 043?

My dad had an 043 and the marples equivalent (which is marginally better) with a single set of blades. He gave me the 043 but kept all the blades, I'm not patient enough to wait to inherit them and would gladly pay a few quid for a set, but some of the prices people are willing to pay on Ebay are astonishing.

I could make the blades if there was an easy way to get a small piece of tool steel?

Hi Aidan,
I don't know if the blades for a Stanley 45 will fit or not. If so here is a set going cheap.
