Wanted belt

Hi i Have been given a hobbies Gem Treadle scrollsaw it needs a new belt and is good to go Must be twenty years since i used one of these . Any one know where i can get one our a piece of Leather string to make one.

I think the answer is that - like lots of things - the belting you want can be found on ebay. Try a search for 'leather driving belt'. I think the pictures are of the right sort of thing.

Hi Geoff. If you can would it be possible to post a picture of your acquired Hobbies Treadle machine please?.I for one would be interested in seeing it.There is a Hobbies treadle old one painted black on a previous post, is it the same one?.

Thanks to you all i have got one in the post 6mm dia 72 " long and a new clip .
I need 36" so a spare belt as well.
