heres a bowl i'd re-mounted and finish turned the day Richard (cant find me findlay) and Tom visited

its from a tree which had been uprooted in a storm several years ago- the deep/rich colour is stunning and it has a good weight to it.
its about 13" diameter by 3" high

That's a great bowl. I like the shape very much - especially the rim. It's a lovely piece of walnut with great figuring too (walnut is one of my favourite woods in any case).

Absolutely gorgeous piece of Walnut George, the figure is amazing, and the shape shows it off so well.

Is it the angle of the photo, or is the inside turned off centre?

ah yes you can see my influence in it. Masterpiece! ;)

Seriously, I love the grain pattern. Something about walnut which makes it look edible. Or is it just because it's lunchtime?

Fantastic, as usual George ...
Is there a finish applied to it yet ?
If so, it looks to have retained a lovely natural look to it.

Very nice ! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
