This appeared in my emails this morning, the site is a very large art forum and has many active daily members, I have not touched anything or gone to the site etc.

It does not appear to me to be a genuine Microsoft announcement?

What do you think?

Thanks for the tip.

With so many false messages these days, I tend to delete any that I do not know wher they are from. I keep getting messages from my bank (which are not) and many otheressages that look extreemly plausable, but when not expecting them, they get deleted. So far so good.

Why on earth would he want you to go to his homepage, if not to do something nefarious ? I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole...

Thanks all, I will report to the site moderators at Wet Canvas, but they are frightening messages, not that I have any bank accounts on my internet.

It's inviting you to go to your homepage, which of course it won't

As above, any emails that look at all suspicious I delete. Having said that, a month or two back I clicked on a phoney one from 'PayPal' which looked genuine - fortunately no harm was done.

Thanks for advice.

Those scammers ought to be put through a sand blaster or something.

Yes, hang them upside down from a lampost and thoroughly sandpaper their testicles for starters
