Since I've sold my workbench timber and holdfasts, this is the last set of bits from that 'plan'
Anyway, the sale is comprised of:
1. The vice screw and nut (600mm long, 30mm diameter fast thread lead screw with a bronze nut)
2. Cast iron wheel (bore not yet cross drilled)
3. 8mm dia spring pin for cross drilling into the wheel and the shaft
4. Custom steel bearing housings x 2( long one is for the workbench leg, short one is to go into the chop
5. Aluminium collars x 2 (not pictured) to secure the screw into the chop
6. Grub screws for the collars
I will also provide details of the bearing housings, I'll whip up the intended assembly on cad so you can know how to install it, I'll also provide the links to the IGUS top hat bearings I intended to use - 2 off required, will cost around £24 including shipping, (unless you know an IGUS sales rep who can get it to you for lot cheaper /free. )
These items are heavy and bulky, so postage will be a lot, but Evri seems to be quite reasonable among others. So, collection preferred but can post if required at cost.
I'm not claiming these are better than "Bench crafted" or anything like that but it is a fraction of the cost to that to achieve most of the convenience, look and feel.
Any questions, please feel free to ask. Happy to provide more details if required.
Cost me way more than listed here, but happy to see it go to a useful cause rather than collect dust.
£125 plus postage or collected from Haddenham HP17.
