I have one of those jawhorses and it's not all that great. The grip isn't all that massive and the thing topples pretty easily when putting anything of a decent length and size on it, very much an occasional hobbyists sort of thing
 
I have seen some mixed reviews of certain models, certainly - but after having spent the past week using it daily for sawing lengths off 150mm x 150mm 2.4 metre long gateposts, shiplap cladding, various sizes of structural timber and sheets of plywood in mine, I'm more than happy with it. Even easier though having the two (or one with an adjacent bench would work).
