We all get older and will not be able to drive at some point so, this technology looks great if it can make private transport more affordable.

Self driving taxis have been operating in San Francisco for some time now. It’s quite disconcerting when one pulls up alongside at traffic lights.

Personally I think self driving cars will overtake (no pun intended) the transition to EV’s and the norm will be to not own a car but rent one when it’s needed.
