Veritas Planes - which one to get?

Was glancing through the latest Good Woodworking Magazine. One of the authors
said he can do just about everything with the LV BU plane with xtra blade set at higher
angle and his stanley block plane.

By a spooky coincidence, I have the same combo, and I have yet to find anything I can't manage with it (apart from rebates obviously!!)
