Hello everyone, I'm making small wooden handles which I've been dipping into varnish and letting drip off, then i dab off the small drip left, The trouble is I'm getting an uneven finish.
Any advice please

by uneven do you mean that it is thicker at the bottom, a la gravity? have you tried different varnishes?

you'll get better answers if you can post photos.

also what varnish are you using, how long are you waiting before you remove the drip?

my instinct would be to dip, remove excess (drip) then invert so that the thick bottom layer runs back and creates a more uniform layer.

instinct 2 would be to try thin layers of spray on varnish
