There was talk in Nick's Decade thread about getting some UKW Travel Mugs like the Wood Whisperer ones:

Anyone interested? I can run it in the same way as the badges if you like?

Also if there is a general desire for some other type of merchandise then I'm open to discussion.

Of course, this will have to be checked with Charley, but we won't bother him until we have a solid idea of what we want to do.

Plastic that looks like wood I think. They have a lid and are good at keeping the contents warm (I have one).

The logo would be the UK Workshop logo and whether or not it'll be in colour will depend on price.

I'll work out a price based on interest. It'll all be at cost plus postage.

So just potential interest atm

Whatever they're made of they need to have a lid - I'm fed up of picking bits of wood out of my coffee.
How about some tee-shirts as well - after all we all wear them.

Come on lads, let's go the whole hog and get a UKW lumberjack shirt, brushed cotton and insulated to keep you going in the shed through the winter

Put me down for one of those mugs Tom. Having just swallowed half a cup of leadwood shavings in my coffee, I need a lidded vessel for when I'm on the lathe...

Yep, I'm also interested in the mug and whatever else you can come up with!

While the site logo would be a must, I don't know about the rest of you but, I'd prefer to see a wood-grain effect (like TWW one) instead of 'forum colours' (as long as it isn't too pricey...). I can't imagine it's real wood; it's got to be photographed wood printed on to paper and laminated, a bit like they do with laminate flooring.

Still, you 'turners could always attempt to make your own! :D

the wood effect is very good and it will definitely be that. It's just whether we use the red and blue (like the badge) or go with just black. I must say I'd prefer just black. It makes it look like it's been branded (with an iron).

There are kits available for turners

It wouldn't have the logo on tho, obviously. I don't mind going that route either. But I won't be turning again til the new year. Maybe if more turners wanted to chip in and share the work. Of course it'd mean they'd not all be identical either.

What about the woolly bobble hat...
Well I am up for one...the cup not the hat.....lol
The amount of dust i'v gulped down before noticing keeps me
in my daily amount of fiber...yuk

Hi,

I like the idea of a hat, being folicly challenged

Pete

For hats and t-shirts we could probably use something like Cafe Press. But when I used them some years ago the quality wasn't good. I'll look into it.

Mekkemikkel, Henning, Geir and myself would all like a mug each please :D , ie; 4 off.
If there's a problem in shipping them all the way to us in the cold north then I can provide a UK address on request.
Thanks a lot

Mark
