Hi Everyone
I have a bit of a problem. The tyre on my 12" SIP band saw (01486) has broken. The saw is out of production and spares are unavailable does anyone know of a substitute. The wheel is 315mm Dia. and the the tyre is 20mm wide.

I have the same SIP, I think.

The tyres for older Axminster bandsaws fit perfectly, and when I last bought some (around five years ago, admittedly) they weren't expensive. I don't think I have the Axminster part no. but I will look, in case - you may need a modern equivalent anyway.

You probably already know, but it's a flat rectangle in cross section - the wheel itself is crowned inside the rims.

Failing that, Myfordman's idea should be fine, as modern "fan" belt is very close dimensionally.

E.

Thanks All
I will try your suggestions and let you know how I get along. Might take a bit of time as I'm away for the next 10 day.

Thanks again
Paul
