I have a V/S x 36 Swivel Head (SIP01360) lathe and when I put some finish on the latest master piece I would turn it by the chuck by hand but.
I would like to fix a handle/wheel on the other end of the chuck to turn by hand.
Now I did not explain that to well so will try again.
You have the head stock with a chuck screwed in the end, the other end of the head stock is empty but would like to fix a wheel to turn by hand.
Can you buy a wheel for this?
I will have a look to see if it has a MT1/2 taper on the outer end.
Sorry if this is not to clear.

Never heard of an off-the-shelf thing for this, although some lathes do have outboard wheels that you can turn. But there is a fairly simple design for a handle that was intended for Myford and similar metalwork lathes. Basically, it consisted of a cranked handle, with a shaft that fitted into the rear of the headstock, and which was split part way along so that it could be expanded by a cone and bolt arrangement to hold it in the headstock.
Pretty sure it is in Sparey's "The Amateur's Lathe".

HI

I did make one myself for an earlier lathe out of wood, turned it on the lathe and used a metal expanding wall bolt, like this, to hold it in the outboard end of the spindle.

The only problem was I got fed up taking it out and putting it back every time I wanted to knock the centre drive out so I stopped using it.
