Can anyone tell me what the wire mesh is for which came with my TS200?
It looks like it sits on the ledge inside the bottom of the sawbench, I can only imagine its to catch larger bits falling through...so far I've not used it!!

Just unpacked mine today... Very impressed with the build quality apart from the rear end of the rip fence extrusion which is so 'raw' it's taken a few chunks out of my fingers. Really surprised that there is no finishing piece on it.

The mesh is more likely there to stop some fool putting there hand UP into the blade when it's running in my opinion. All my previous saws have had something similar...

Hi Tomsk, I've just received the table extension pack for my TS200...no instructions!! I know it should be a simple case to fit onto the existing unit, but to start the fabricated table extension sits about 10mm below the saw table!!!?...so it looks like it has to be packed up on the front and back rails to the table level!..or am I missing something?

PS..trying to upload some pics!!! any advice?

I haven't opened the box yet - it didn't arrive until 16:00 :(

I understand from previous posts that this has to be packed up with shims / washers until you get the correct hight. Is there a bag of them supplied?

If it's not right, give Axminster a call. Customer services is part of what you pay for. They will be happy to discuss it with you, I'm sure.

Have you sorted the extension table yet? I put mine on today - instructions are in the main book for the saw....

The extension comes with 6 bolts for each side - three that go into the T section of the extrusion and three that screw down into the captive nuts - these last three allow you to lift and level the table quite accurately...

Of course I can't level mine as it has a bloody great big bow in it :-(

Hey ho... Customer Services here we come!

Hi Tomsk, yes finally figured out what the extra 3 nut & bolts were for...just got to work out how they work!!?
Is it the extension table that has the bow in it...damage in transit!?

Gerry

..off to try fit the ex table!"!!

Now I,ve sorted the extension leveling, I don't like the horrible grey cold sheet of metal anyway (I'm a fussy old git!)..so I have a nice piece of white worktop that I fancy using,

handy for scribbling on..heh heh!

It will leave me short of about 4"...I may chop that off the end of the rails...we'll see!

Will send pics...I hope!

I have nearly finished 'altering' the riving knife to suit my Freud 216 blade...will give me 65mm cut!!
