Thaks guys. I have had it on the shelf for a few days and I must admit it's growing on me. The foot, because of the shape of the wood cut as an ellipse not a circle so was higher on one side. I had to carefully flatten the bottom and that set it offcentre. It's happened wit a couple of these. Use a log that is markedly wider at the top than the bottom and the crinklier the outside of the wood, the more shape you get in the top. As I have a few of these now, the others with thin stems, I think I'll call them Chantrelle goblets as they rmind me of the chantrelle mushroom.
