I noted there was a Triton stand at Yandles with most of the top end equipment on display?

Old stock or is it new supplies coming in?

I was just about to ask the guy on the stand when he disappeared. Couldn't be bothered to hang around and ask him. The stand didn't appear to have much stock on it though.

I asked him for a replacement filter for the dust bucket which he said he would enquire when someone else was also supposed to be around.
Never materalised whilst I was there.

They also had a small stand there at the Spring show, earlier this year. If I remember rightly, it was only old stock. I did notice recently that one online retailer (might have been D&M Tools?) was claiming to be in receipt of a brand new stock of Triton tools... The guy at Yandles didn't seem to have much of a clue (he was no Argee...) and admitted he was basically a rep. sent from Silverline in Yeovil. I think the prices may also have been discounted but, it was barely noticeable! :?

If you are looking for Triton I saw a full range at Sharpend services in Northamptonshire.

Yandles would be able to help I am sure too.

I specifically asked about stock levels etc. and was told (quite forcefully!) that they had plenty in Yeovil and apart from some of the 'higher end' stuff there were no longer any supply problems.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see?

Thought the price of the 'big' router (£186) was quite good compared to what I've paid in the past.

Yandles was my favourite venue when I was involved, because of its relaxed atmosphere. I was surprised to hear that Triton had a stand there in the Spring show, because the European Manager pulled out of last September's show at such short notice, he really put their noses out of joint. Toolstream (Silverline) must have done some serious smoothing-over! :)

Triton kit can be both noisy and time-consuming to demonstrate effectively and the venue doesn't lend itself to flying dust and noise - in the same way that the smaller stands at the D & M show (Kempton Park) don't either. When the "demonstration" is restricted to dry runs - i.e., with no power applied - then some of the impact is lost, so to combat that, the person demonstrating really needs a very high level of product knowledge. It's disappointing that this has apparently been let to slide and this doesn't bode well for the future. :(
