Honestly...I mean to say...OK, OK, I know I shouldn't have mislaid my Trend guide bush screws  but, really.

What other muppets use 2BA screws these days, for Pete's sake?

Finally found some buried in the darkest regions of the workshop.

Eventually

You sure it's not an M5 thread the pitch is only 0.01mm different and the dia of 2BA is 0.2mm less than an M5 thread. Being based on European Elu models I would have thought metric was more likely.

Edit Just looked at my Trend catalogue and you are probably right

Hi Roger
For future reference, 2BA screws are still pretty common as that is the screw size on pre metric electrical conduit boxes. I keep a few sizes on my van as I still use quite a few on refurb jobs, although these are all brass they would still hold a guide bush.

Hi Roger,
IIRC BA is still used in some electronic gear. It is allegedly better for some very small fixing jobs.

I made a point a few years back to keep all the 'standard' sizes (Even nos.) & only a few days ago it got me out of trouble :)

Having once been a classic / vintage car enthusiast I had to stock Whitworth / UNC / UNF / BA / and (for the modern car) metric

I know...I know...but we're talking older designs here. Trend guide bushes are made from modern plastic and STILL using 2BA? Maybe they bought a job lot of old screws from MK
