so on the doorliner the hinge width is getting more as you go down. that could only mean that the guides are slipping, otherwise they should be the same

have you checked to see if the scribe lines are parallel with the edge of the jig?
I have two of these jigs, one set for 3" and one for 4" butts. I have been using them, until recently virtually every week for over 15 years and would not go back to scribing and chopping. I reckon I have hung thousands of doors (piecework for some of the bigger builders) with these and really rate them. I only use a small dewalt 1/4" router as it's nice and light.
