Very, very nice work Alf, and a great WIP report too.

I'm now feeling very embarrased that I submitted my router table

Maybe there will be points off for spelling mistakes though :p

That's the drawback to a single stretcher - nowhere to hide the fixings

Alf,
You could actually if you wished, simply screw through the bottom of the stretcher? If this were too crude, then opposing, curved keyhole slots at each end of the top would allow the capture of a couple of screws in the legs by rotating the top onto them (clear as mud?). In similar vein, butterfly section dovetail keys could be perhaps be used.

However, I reckon your solution is much more practical and just as good at the end of the day.

Actually that's funny. It's not a spelling error but a typing one (it's the speed with which I type with two fingers that's the trouble...) E and W are right next door to each other.

Gosh, all those ways I could have screwed it up if only I had the time...

Hi Alf

Great table, looks really nice.
With your hand skills do you really need a router, they should be left for us poor soles with no hand skills, we need all the help we can get.

Cool table Alf, looking forward to final post (of the project that is...)

I thought it was a bit uncharacteristic for you. Nice typo, though - they don't often work out like that

Noely, I think this is the second time Alf's called me Noel - she's really entering into the Christmas spirit, isn't she? :deer

That's OK Noel.

Best Regards

No, not the same as yours, it's the Gaelic version.

Sorry, Neil. Put it down to all this unaccustomed exposure to sawdust...
