Just taken mine off after coming in for a tea break
I have some paper masks with valve built in which I don't use now as I find them difficult to get a good fit to the face and also find it quite hard to breathe through them which is a bit of a drawback !
Also have a plastic "gas mask" type with two round filters on, and use that sometimes, it seems effective but slightly hard to breathe still and the nose piece can get a bit uncomfortable.
Next up is the Airace, which again seems effective and is noticably easier to breathe through, presumably due to the larger filter area, although again it can get a little uncomfortable on the top of the nose after a while. It is also quite large and I am conscious of it visually when looking downwards although it's never really in the way.
Top of the tree in my opinion anyway, is the JSP (?) power cap, which has the added benefit of face protection, a good easy fit around the face, and a blown air supply, seems effective and comfortable. Downside is that it does kind of make me feel a bit alienated from the work I'm doing, there is a gentle hum from the motor which means I have to turn the radio up a bit, the visor needs wiping off on the outside regularly, it's a bit of a nuisance to put on and off, and it's not cheap  Trend do a version too.
I still use dust extraction at source and a workshop air filter too even when wearing whichever mask at the time. The power cap gets used most I guess but will use the airace if I don't feel the need for face protection and want to feel a bit closer to the work or listen to the radio more
Others will have their own thoughts and preferences too of course.
Cheers, Paul
