Ive just returned from a bit of a roadtrip around france and the pyrenees, and I was treasure hunting along the way.

One particular thing I got at a french carboot sale was a multi-angled set square, all metal, the only similar thing I can find is this http://www.toolpost.co.uk/pages/Woo...arking/Squares___Bevels/squares___bevels.html

the 'multi-angle square' second from the bottom, except as I say mine is all metal, engineer style. looked all over, including specialist sites and workshop heaven etc but cant find one, anyone else got one of these? This one has no maker, but the angles are all good to 0.1 of a degree as far as I can see. happy to have it anyway!

I ended up getting carried away with the old tools, because they were really cheap and if nothing else will scrub up and look nice hanging on a workshop wall. Other treasures include a large curved adze which i believe to be a coopers adze, with makers stamp just about still visible, cleaned up really well, 4 drawknives of different shapes and sizes because they were only a few euros each, a 5'5" foot two man saw in pretty good condition, teeth all still pointy should be very much workable, a very long and large-ish gouge, a hefty mortice chisel, an old holdfast, amongst smaller bits and bobs.

Can't happen soon enough for me, I'll finally be able to afford Luthier tools from StewMac in the U.S.
