Delightful to see that the twinges of eccentricity we hold so dear over here haven't been entirely lost over there.

Your work in cataloguing and digitising every last slip of paper to do with old tools that you can get your hands on is rapidly turning toolemera into a serious reference resource.

Thank you for keeping us posted on your progress and good luck with the onerous task of providing solutions to many 'I've just bought one of these - what the heck is it?' type of questions in years to come.

My sincerest thanks to you for your kind words. As for eccentricities... LOL By day I work in the Archives of an MIT library. Digitizing of course along with writing content and other things. I guess what is eccentric to normal folks is a daily activity for librarians and archivists! At least that MLS degree is doing something for me.

Plus I am always open to comments and suggestions to improve the site. The latest addition of a menu pull down was a suggestion which made lots of sense.

It's also good to hear when someone likes the stuff as a handful of forums have censored my posts of new stuff announcements. Seems they have b a problem with my listing material that might draw people away from their sites and over to mine. Needless to say, the fact that I provide links to their forums didn't seem to bother them!

Who the hootin' heck did that? Although (of course) if you're breaking forum rules (which vary a lot), I suppose that's fair enough. Badger Pond had some particularly "unique" rules, for example.

Well you might say its the new incarnation of Badger Pond. There are some exclusivity rules which we have now discussed and mayhap in the near future there will be an avenue for non-profits to advertise there. Though I think it is rather self-centered to refuse external links thinking that it is drawing people away? In terms of general internet traffic, that makes not sense to me. But then, I'm a librarian and we tend to think logically.
