I sort my rough clamps cold. Put the threaded end of the clamp in a vice with the clamp almost closed, and a piece of tube/bar through the loop of the clamp and gently push foot end towards the screw foot until it is back where it was should be.

Never do it with a press they twist when they bend and have to be twisted back

What's to stop you twisting back in a press?

A press will not work if they are bent on the curve at the end where most of them bend. Cheap small ones will bend easy but something like a 12” wooden will need heat.
