I've been holding off commenting on this with all the comments you've been getting but one point that doesn't appear to have been picked up on is the change of grain direction from the top to the bottom. Usually you try and encourage the viewers eye to follow the form. The opposing grain directions of the top and bottom IMHO doesn't help here

Once again thanks for your comments , I will have a go at making a top the same as the bottom as I have a piece of the same wood left :lol:
