Tiny Black Dots - Mould/Fungus?

Over the past few weeks I've noticed these strange black dots appearing in little clusters on various things. I assume is some sort of fungus but I'm curious to know more. So far I've seen them on laminate flooring, my pine workbench and a cardboard box (the flooring is in a van outside, the bench and box are in a shed, all are pictured). You can see in the first pic where I've tried to sand them out. Ignore the big mark in the second photo, it's a spot of oil.

Can anyone shed any light?

Really?!?!?! I've never seen it before and it sticks like a mother f*cker! Oh well at least it's not some sort of mould. Thanks guys.

+1 Spider poo. Also comes in white and can be mistaken for paint spatter.
