Back when I had a team of journalists to run, the editor of one online mag was so poor at punctuation, I took a small bucket, labelled it "comma bin" and put it on his table with instructions to use them. Then processed to buy every one of the "wordsmiths" the "Eat, Shoots and Leaves" book. I would love to say things improved but only those over about 40 seems to have any real training. Sadly, each and every one had been through journalism degrees.

Yes please .. retired and grumpy so will only help :ROFLMAO: Sadly my tryping has deteriorated rapidly and, coupled with the attention span of a wild termite, leads to many posts of such a calibre.

In complete agreement. I edited a naval newsletter for years and I relied on a sub-editor who was even older than me (I am 77!), he was a godsend. One thing missing on this forum is a spellchecker! My bugbear own is "to or too", "there or their"............add your own pet hates!
