Very clever dog

Makes my Billy look daft
All he can do is eat Steve Maskery's cake in 2 seconds

:)

No pictures of it but my dearly departed spaniel crapped in my daughters handbag one night, it was a bad one too - I nearly died laughing when she came and showed us.

I need a new dog :(

Don't have a dog ourselves, but do mind our daughter's elderly hound from time to time. The photos are great - they really show the sort of relationship that can develop between dog and human.
For another view of this sort of thing, and a few belly laughs, folk with e-book readers can try "Borderless Collie" which my daughter wrote about travels round Europe with dog and campervan. It's on Amazon.

Hi jimi43 & Alfie, great post. Our dog does not like the cellar, so he is never in the shop, how ever we have 2 cats who love being in there with me. I was surprised to find the noise has no effect on them, they mostly love playing in the shavings, lying in the most convenient (for them) places. I guess any four legged companion is nice, any day, especially on a bad day, or even a good one. Tell Alfie, Emma & Maya say hi. Jamey

Jimi, great thread......Alfie is so cute and endearing. Well done for rescuing another staffy or staffy cross...Did you get him through rescue remedies / staffy rescue?

My liability cant be let into the workshop, he attacks the hoover when it's on and will pick up and chew anything he finds into small pieces.....

brilliant - i absolutely love these posts where mans best friend shows why he is mans best friend.
alfie showing his skills and jimi's. =D>
dr bob showing us what charlies latest antics are.
we have a 5 year old scottie called olive who follows me everywhere and has a real knack of getting me in trouble by sitting under the lathe then walking into the house and rubbing herself clean on the hall rug - then i get shouted at for walking shavings all over the house.
thanks everyone for showing us your faithfull companions.
cheers paul-c

Great post Jimi, love the pics and brought a smile to my face.

We lost our dealry loved black lab 10 years ago and it's still painful but we have 13 years of good memories.
Wife retires next week and I've put my name on a "potential" puppy for the end of the year now that time will be available to properly look after another so I also have a prospective workshop companion.
I don't need to worry about the wood as all mine is scrap #-o

Bob

This is getting ridiculous!

I go to work for one evening and I come back to find him reading his thread AGAIN!!

Think I should tell him CHARLIE's a he?

Maybe we should hook them up on Skype when we're busy Bob and then we might get some bloody work done?

I haven't shown him Olive yet Paul...don't want to encourage him eh!?.

He says he wants to have a proper picture done to send to her....he's a bit of a poser...

So this is for Olive....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He was from a rescue centre round the corner Mark where we get all our dogs from.....the lady that runs it saw him the other day and wants him back!!

I have a feeling they didn't think he would make it!

Cheers for the comments guys...ALFIE loved each and every one of them...particularly the pictures of your best friends.

Jim
