Update on last weeks torque wrench, this exploded into about ten bits when cranked up for the first time, I won't expect much sympathy in case Alf was going to send it! :)

Not quite the Chain Wrench (file name)mahking51, but it is a Strap Wrench and should be fitted with a Webbing Strap (stitched around the pin). Stubborn Aircraft parts are a little to delicate for a chain wrench in most instances. By the way it is still Ministry issue, you do have the proof of disposal sale info. I presume

Err........ :?
How long is the webbing please?
Martin

About the same length (not much longer anyway) as the handle if my memory serves me correctly. I do remember the fabric shop fitting one with about a metre of strap to aid the turning (aligning) of an item in a bomb bay though.
In use it tackled most things that a standard chain Oil Filter Wrench would fit.
Won't bruise a piece of wood to badly either if you need to move a spigot around a few degrees.
