I want to buy a tenon jig for my table saw and have seen that Rutlands ( ) have the Dakota one for about £90.

Anyone know of any alternatives or has anyone used the Dakota one and can recommend it?

I want one that is precisely adjustable if possible.

Thanks for the replies .... :D

I made one to slide along my rip fence. Since the rip fence is micro-adjustable, so is the tenoning jig.

Its very easy to make. I think someone else had the same idea and posted it on this forum. Do a search for 'tenoning jig'.

Thanks for the positive recommendation Mike, i will probably get one if you say it's worthwhile, as i have quite a few tenons to cut and would rather work on my forthcoming project than make one at present. Time dictates in this instance!

Kind regards

Ben

i have a dakota jig and it needed a little shimming with paper mainly to put the face in line with the slot and also square with the table. the bar also needed punching to swell it a little. after that it was spot on and quick.

No problem at all with mine.

Cheers

The woodcraft has adjustment grub screws to take up any slack if required.
