I think they are pretty good. I've used them on a table that I built out of Ipe (left over decking) which is VERY heavy. After 4 years its still going strong and to put in the leaf the runners need to be at near maximum extension.

HTH.

How's the shop going?

Cheers

I've used full extension runners laid flat on a glass table as I wanted to hide the workings, have a look at the table in this album, they give 500mm each way ie 1000 opening so that the 500x800 extension can be accessed.

Very nice Jason,

I assume that when you open the table out the runners show and when you place the central leaf on it hides them.

Also, please would you tell me where you bought those runners and do they come in longer lengths.

Thanks

They are 700mm runners and will normally open the fulkl 700 but I added extra balls and cage from a set of 300mm runners which means they only open to 500mm

Yes the extension leaf has timber rails that are groved on the underside like the frames below the two moving leaves.

Runners came from Isaac Lord, site is down at the moment so cant post a link but the part number is 5633700 - "700mm Full Extension Draw Slide" they range from 250-700mm in 50mm steps

Thanks Jason,

I've just realised they are just drawer runners, I mistakenly thought they were specifically table runners, my problem is that a lot of weight will be involved on the table ends.

Thanks again for the info.

For what its worth I would reckon that each of the table ends on my Ipe table weighs in excess of 40kg and I haven't seen any deflection even at full (beyond what the leaf requires) extension.

I also find that there is no significant lateral movement either.

Cheers
