Pricey tho' superb, the T55 blades are, do any of the others ie Makita Trend, Dewalt etc do as good a job for less..?
I'm guessing the kerfs will vary
thereby cutting or missing the plastic splinter guard!

When i got my TS55 i took the festool blade off, left it in my workshop and used trend blades. So my tracks are set to trend blade kerf at the moment. Having never used the festool blade i can't compare the final cut quality. However the blades i used rip 12 teeth/ general purpose 24 teeth blades have been good so far. Even using the rip blade on ply has left minimal chipping. :)

I use the trend craft blades in my dewalt. I've used the festool blades in it also. In my opinion the trend ones are every bit as good and are around £15 on eBay.
