Hi all
I have some questions about a spice rack I'm going to build.
I have a basic image here sorry for the poor quality of my sketch up
Should the shelves be made from thinner stock than the main carcase? Or would you normally keep it all the same thickness?
I want to keep this simple and plain, but how can I add a bit more interest to it? Chamfers, rounding, beading perhaps?
I dont think mouldings would work as its to be wall mounted and nothing else in the kitchen has mouldings.
planned to dovetail the main carcase corners and to set back and house the shelves. Its going to be wall mounted as well.
I intended to h/b dovetail the draw fronts but looking at the sketchup, box joints are jumping out at me?!?!
I only have access to hand tools at present in case that rules out any other ideas.
Any suggestions to improve on the design would be greatly appreciated.
