Hi - I've had my DVR for 2 1/2 years, and I love it - one piece of advice, make sure you hoover the dust out of the back and front of the headstock (vents under the spindle and round by the power switch) or the sensors get dusty and eventually pack in. They're easy to replace, but regular hoovering should help them last longer.

I've had problems with the sensors 3 or 4 times when I've forgotten to vacuum and blow out dust. When this happens I've removed the various parts, removed the sensors and then cleaned them with a cotton bud. This has always fixed it.

Last time it happened I thought I couldn't fix it so ordered a new sensor. Before I fitter it I had one more go at cleaning the existing one and managed to clean it more effectively so that it ran again with no problems.
