Anyone got a good tip for removing pine resin from brand new litchen worktop before the boss sees it?

I did thanks. Haven't seen meths in years but was sure I had a bottle of white spirit somewhere. Must have drunk that but did find some parafin so gave it a swipe with that and voila, no more sticky. Perhaps shouldn't have celebrated with a *** though
