Hi all got some laminate worktops to fix then some laminate upstands to. As I have not had the privilege of installing laminate upstands before I wonder what method people have used to successfully hold the upstands in place. I'm thinking maybe use Sticks Like Sh.t. What have you used?

I use soudal fix all , it’s overpaintable and it just needs a firm press to activate it . If the wall is not flat you may need to support the upstand with something heavy up against it. It’s also available in different strengths..

I use sticks like sh.t mainly because it the cheapest of the ms polymer adhesives that I can buy but there are lots out there stixall is another one that’s not been mentioned

Thank you for the replys chaps, sounds like a polymer adhisive is coming up as a regular so will try that.

I'd look at youtube, there are severall, somewhat methodical, comparison videos for grab adhesives, the only slight drawback is not everything is available in the uk

Just curious but is sh-t all that sticky really? I mean, would you use it as an adhesive? Just asking…
Well the old saying is “sticks like sh.t to a blanket” so whilst I wouldn’t want to use it as an adhesive it can in some instances adhere quite well to some materials 😂

Also thinking back to when my lads were babies I’d much rather clean up PVA than what they produced on a regular basis 😆
