Startrite 301E Motor details

Looking for details on the above and thought to ask you knowledgeable folks:
Motor RPM?
Shaft diameter?
Two capacitors?
Are the mounts anything special?
Would a 1hp fit?
Anything else you can think of?

I was looking at it too... you might find it’s simple a bearing issue. But there are some bandsaw motors on the same site.

I'd advise phoning around to see how much it would cost to have a motor rewind as this would probably be a worse case scenario. If the quotes are attractive then the bandsaw has to be worth considering. From memory the 301E was a later development of the Bandit. This only had a 1/2 hp motor and was gutless, calling out for something at least 1 to 1 1/2 hp.
