STARTRITE 14-S-5 BANDSAW

Hi i am looking at buying a STARTRITE 14-S-5 BANDSAW will it cope with cutting 6" oak or should i look at some of the other startrite models.

Just for my curiosity I thought the 18 or 14-s-bandsaws from Startrite were for metal cutting and not wood or am I totally wrong ( again)

It will easily do 10 inches on mine
The 14-s- or 18-s- models are general bandsaws
the number after means speeds
1 single speed
5 five speeds by belt changing
10 ten speeds as above and 2 speed gearbox

Metal cutting just needs slower speeds so a 10 speed is needed really
