Starting out.

Rob that does sound like a good idea and i probably will do that to an extent, but i think i still will buy a bandsaw as it will enable me to size up my woods alot easier but then buy some good quality hand tools and start to practice making joints and from there slowly build up a collection of machinary for when i need them.

P.s can someone please explain the plane numbering system because i don't really understand it.
