Hi all,

probably a bit of a daft question (and one probably most, if not all, won't know unless you own or have seen it) but does anyone know if the handle on this toolbox retracts to be flush or lower than the lid?

Yes it does fold down out of the way.

you beat me to it L N
i use mine for fixings as the sides are thin steel sheet , so dont like to put tools in it
handles are well out the way when pushed in

Thanks for the replies chaps :D

How come you don't use it for tools? Does the think steel easily distort?

I plan to use it for tools (of which I carry a lot, hence quite a bit of weight) would I be better going for one of the plastic wheely boxes?

as my tools do a lot of miles in the back of the van , the temperature is up and down a lot
thin metal sheet seems to condensate
also , the tool tray that came with the stanley box is of no use to me
all my tools seemed to end up in the bottom of the box
they are a good fixings box for me , strong and mobile ,

Hi Scooby,

I use one of the plastic double wheelies and I will not be going back to a home made wood box as I can carry more and find it easier to get to my tools :)

Thanks I got jig this morning
