Hi all,
Thought I would post a couple of pictures of some stuff I done over Christmas and just after.

For some xmas decorations for the house I made a couple of toy soldiers with some comical faces (the misses recommended the non standard faces and I'm glad I went with them as it gives them a bit more character)

I then made a couple of larger ones for my young cousins (Not got pics of them directly but you can see the size difference from the image below). I had some small off cuts of Brazilian mahogany veneer and i used them to add detail onto the butt of the gun which made them look a bit more polished and the misses painted the names on for me (she has much nicer handwriting than me)

Just after Christmas the other half thought they should have some company, so she drew up the stencil and I cut these out for her and she painted them up.

The kids seem to enjoy playing with them so they seem to be fit for purpose :p.

Cheers
Mark

Thanks Eugene, it was one of my first proper projects. Got a couple of other things in the pipeline that I will post up here when I have them together

Looks good Mark, also a well done to the wife for the art work. =D>

Take care.

Nice idea. I'm afraid I would never get around to painting anything like that, I'd cut the outlines and call it a day. Actually, the last pic immediately reminded me of the barbershop choir my o/h used to sing with, though I'm not sure why as they all wore matching outfits. :)

lovely Xmas decorations there mark, look forward to seeing your stuff unfold as the year moves on, well done..
